Welcome to Two Ridge Guest House which has been our family’s holiday home for approximately 25 years.

It is our pleasure to share with you the feeling of freedom, space and tranquility that this quaint and secluded South Coast suburb has to offer and sincerely hope you will get that same sense of peace that we have experienced for so many years.

Bazley Beach is a very secluded KZN South Coast “one road in & one road out” residential suburb. Bazley is a declared nature Conservancy and its residents and guests are reminded of the privilege they share with this eco-sensitive coastal environment that is home to diverse birdlife and small game animals alike.

Some of the key features of Two Ridge Guest House is the uninterrupted 180-degree sea view with seasonal whale migrations, surfing dolphins, unbelievable sardine runs and brilliant fishing or surfing spots, but most of all unspoiled stretches of beach!

The splendour of the sunrise viewed from your bedroom window or whilst sipping your early morning coffee on the deck is just breath taking.

The Home

While there is no garage available, your peace of mind is our priority. Rest assured knowing that secure, fenced parking awaits, accompanied by the comforting glow of security lights and outdoor beams. With security gates on all exterior doors, full burglar guards adorning every window, and a reliable alarm system, your safety is never compromised.

This remarkable home features five bedrooms, with two of them boasting ensuite bathrooms. A full family bathroom, along with a separate guest toilet, ensures that there's more than enough space for families or friends sharing this remarkable space.

With a recommended maximum occupancy of 8 adults and 2 or 3 children, this abode is perfectly suited to accommodate your entire party comfortably. If its “shopping mall” entertainment you desire for those rainy days or top up supplies there are really only two options within a short drive.

Mac Nicol’s Caravan Park is 1.7km or 3 minutes down the road. It’s a basic needs shop for the daily consumables but has a small bottle store and a daily bakery which will mostly suffice for your top up groceries.

Scottburgh Mall is the closest mall, which is a 25km or 20 minute drive away. This mall offers the normal big chain stores and you will get all of your shopping needs done there.

Galleria Mall in Amanzimtoti is a 38 minute, 57km drive. It is a big “full entertainment” mall including ice rink, cinemas, carnival kingdom and go karting and large chain stores and restaurants to choose from.

South Coast Mall in Shelly Beach, which is a 57km 41 minute drive. This mall is the biggest mall on the lower south coast and fulfils everything you would expect in a mall.

Golf Courses

The KwaZulu Natal “Golf Coast”, to which it is affectionately referred, is one of the best-kept secrets of the South African golfing community. You will be spoilt for choice with 10 courses all a mere “chip & putt” away from Bazley Beach.

The Range is a driving range for those that feel they need a bit of practice or just some fun with the family situated near Selborne Golf Club in Pennington.

You can also sit and have a cold “beverage” or grab a bite to eat in the rustic pub on the range.

Diving

The world-renown Aliwal Shoal Dive site is a 20 minute drive away in Umkomaas. The Aliwal Shoal is a rocky reef which is the remains of an ancient sand dune approximately 5 kilometres off the coast. The reef is inhabited by many kinds of hard and soft corals and other marine invertebrates, and a variety of tropical and subtropical fish species. Aliwal Shoal was named after the near-sinking in 1849 of the three-masted vessel "Aliwal", captained by James Anderson. There are two wrecks near the reef that are popular recreational dive sites.

The Norwegian bulk carrier MV Produce sank in 1974, and SS Nebo sank in 1884. Aliwal Shoal has diverse marine life, including large predators, and is popular as a recreational scuba diving destination. The Shoal is known especially for its abundance of Grey nurse sharks (known locally as ragged tooth sharks or "raggies") between July and November when the sharks congregate there to mate.
